Aurora
Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian singer and songwriter from Norway. Born in Stavanger on June 15, 1996. She is professionally referred to as Aurora. Her name can be also stylized as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, came out in May 2015 on Decca Records to great approval of music bloggers and the media. She's recorded a variety of well-known cover songs, including Half the World Away (by Oasis), from the group Oasis) for John Lewis' Christmas advert as well as Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole), which are widely loved. Her name was also recognized from a post by Katy Perry where Perry endorsed the song Runaway. Celebrate her special birthday. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memories involve finding a tiny piano that was in her basement and bewildered by the sound it created. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged her to learn music, not as an income or as a pastime and as a way to grow. In the end, she started writing her own music. Her inspirations include famous writers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan and her love of Bjork's style. To counter her mother's advice that people shouldn't be trying to become famous with the songs she writes, but rather be aware of the significance of them and the impact they have on society. Piano was her first instrument when she was six. She started creating music after turning nine. It was unknown by her family until she was fourteen. Aurora's fame was not the goal of her. She says she just likes to compose songs. According to her, music is the most efficient means of communicating anything.
